Driven by greed and jealousy, the King had Jayaprana assassinated to claim Layon Sari for himself. Overcome with grief, Layon Sari cast herself into the sacred Yeh Ho river, ending her life.

Moved by the power of their love, the gods reunited Layon Sari & Jayaprana’s spirits in the afterlife and today they serve as a symbol of how love can overcome all.
